Chillicothe Elementary Schools welcomes Miss Gabby Hall as a new 2nd-grade teacher!
Gabby is a graduate of Carrollton R-VII in 2020 and has just graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. During her time at Northwest, she worked for an elementary school's after-school care program, was a student ambassador, and held an executive position with her sorority, focusing on teaching members about their history and values.
Miss Hall enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with family! At home, she has two corgis, Lucy and Laney, that she loves to talk about. Miss Hall is a familiar face at Field School as a student teacher.
"I am so grateful to continue my teaching journey with Chillicothe R-2! I'm excited to start my first year of teaching with second grade and can't wait to make magical, lasting memories with the sweetest kiddos!"

Chillicothe Elementary School is excited to welcome Miss Kaylee Myers!
Kaylee will be a 2nd-grade teacher next year. Miss Myers is a graduate of Graceland University and North Central Missouri College, majoring in Elementary Education and Teaching. She is a former Chillicothe student and Chillicothe Paraprofessional Educator. Miss Myers has been a third-grade teacher for two years at S.M. Rissler Elementary School in Trenton, MO. She is graduating soon from Western Governors University with a Master of Science majoring in Curriculum & Instruction.
Miss Myers has an 8-year-old son, Braylin, who will be in third grade next school year, and her significant other is Brandon Askew. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family, shop, travel, and enjoy time outside when the weather is nice!

Lucky Ducks at CES! So many students taking their time and working hard on their IReady tests!
This evening, CES hosted our first ever "Kindergarten Orientation." Approximately 90 future Hornets attended along with their families to learn more about attending CES. Students visited the playground, had cookies in the cafeteria and were able to sit on the school bus before departing. We look forward to having the Class of 2037 as kindergartners in August!
Our Hornet High Five buckets have been so full that we drew out names of some of the"Lucky Ducks" at CES!

Bryer from Mrs. Bonderer's class helped a friend at recess. A friend was upset that someone took a ball from him at recess, so Bryer gave him his ball to make him feel better.
Gracie from Mrs. Ward's class was nominated by a classmate for writing kind notes to fill other people's buckets!

Goal Getters at CES!
CES Kindergarteners performed "Oh, The Places You'll Go" on Thursday evening under the direction of Miss Ruthie Vinson.
The FFA Litton Crusaders visited CES this morning for "A Day on the Farm" activities that included a petting zoo, tractor rides and other fun activities with our kindergarteners! Thank you, Chillicothe FFA!

We were so honored to welcome Missouri Gov. Mike Parson and First Lady, Teresa Parson to CES today! While here, they took a private tour with the R-II Board of Education and District administrative staff, and then met with the public for a book signing event in the library.

Don't forget! Gov. Mike Parson will be visiting CES TODAY and will be available to meet the public during a book signing event to promote his book, "No Turnin' Back G57," from 4 to 4:30 PM in the Library. Everyone is welcome to attend!
First grader, Miss Kinley Jeffries is this week's "Let Your Kind Shine" recipient. To no surprise, Kinley was nominated more than once. Here's what her teachers said about her...
