Field School Open House is quickly approaching! Please sign up on Signup Genius with your child's teacher if you have not already done so. (If you have difficulty, please call the school at 660-646-2909) Please allow 45 minutes to an hour total for your visit. Remember that InterState Studios will be here for school pictures and all third graders will have hearing and vision screening. Welcome to a new year at Field Elementary School! We are looking forward to a great school year! Back to school letters went to the post office today! Have your child help you check your mailbox over the next few days. Open House will be held on August 23rd from 8-3 pm. Please see the attached flyer for more information (school pictures that day, hearing and vision checks for 3rd graders). Please allow about an hour for Open House. Also, online registration is open today. You should be receiving a district email with instructions and a link to register your child. Field Elementary welcomes Mrs. Jennifer Anderson to our team!
Mrs. Anderson has spent many hours subbing and working with children and families in the Chillicothe R-2 School District. This is her 1st year teaching!
Her husband is Anthony and they have 4 children, Carson (19), Caylee (16), Carter (12), and Chloee (7). They also have a dog named Max. Mrs. Anderson loves to go camping during the summer with her family and her favorite place to be is the beach! She also enjoys reading all types of books and watching movies
Mrs. Anderson says, “I am so excited to be teaching this year!”

The Chillicothe R-II School District continues to monitor the spread of the COVID-19 virus. After consultation with neighboring school districts, the Chillicothe R-II School District will extend its closures until Friday, April 24, with the hopes of having students return on Monday, April 27. District officials will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation so we can lift our closure as soon as it is safe for everyone.
The meal program will continue in its current form through April 24. Those interested in signing up for meals, should visit the Chillicothe R-II website or call 660-646-4566. Those already signed up for the program will continue to receive their meals.
Chillicothe R-II will continue to the Flexible Learning Plans that were implemented on March 17. If you have questions about the educational offerings, please reach out to your children’s teachers via email.
For our families whose children receive special education services: If your child’s annual IEP meeting was to be held between March 17th and April 24th, your child’s case manager will contact you soon to schedule this meeting via phone conference call or video conference.
